Based on the 2018 Broadway musical, FROZEN, JR. brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!

Callbacks are by invitation only and will be held Tuesday, October 15th from 6-9pm at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center.
    The Callback List will be posted on the Theatre in the Park website by 12pm on Monday, October 14th.

BASIC INFORMATION

ALL auditionees must be at least 6 years old October 13, 2019 and no older than 18 through December 15, 2019. Please check the character breakdown (listed below) before deciding to audition.
 

ONLINE AUDITION FORM

Everyone auditioning is required to complete an online audition form. You will need to bring 3 printed copies with you to the auditions.
 

CHOOSE YOUR TIME TO AUDITION!

Auditionees may choose a one hour time slot between the hours of 5pm-8pm Sunday, August 18.

Audition numbers will automatically be assigned when you choose your time slot at the end of the online audition form process.  If you choose to edit your audition form AFTER selecting a time slot, the system will require you to choose a new time slot.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time slot.

Before you decide to audition, please seriously consider any potential schedule conflicts or other performance opportunities that may interfere with your commitment to the show you may be cast in. All rehearsals will be at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park KS 66212.

Everyone is required to participate in the vocal portion of the audition.

Please be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of a song from a modern musical that shows off your vocal range and matches the range/style of the character you are interested in playing. We'll provide the accompanist for your vocal audition, but you need to bring the sheet music (in the proper key) with you for your song. Please mark a clear start and stop point for the Accompanist.  Please no CDs.

The dance portion will take place after your singing audition in a small group.

A short dance number will be taught and and performed on site.  The Choreographer is not looking for perfection, but will take note of performer's skill level and ability to take direction.
 

If you are unable to attend the auditions in person, you may submit a video audition up until 5pm on October 13, 2019.

Video auditions will be accepted by posting a video online and providing us with the web address of that video. Audition videos should include 16-32 measures of singing.

When you fill out the online audition form HERE, please check the box next to "I will be auditioning by video". The TIP Administration office will forward your audition form containing your video audition information to the director.

ENSEMBLE - Includes TOWNSPEOPLE of Arendelle; the SNOW CHORUS, a personification of Elsa's snow and ice powers; HIDDEN FOLK, magical people that live in the mountains; CASTLE STAFF; SUMMER CHORUS, embodiments of Olaf's summer fantasty; OAKEN'S FAMILY; and GUARDS
YOUNG ANNA, ANNA - Princess of Arendelle at different ages; a spirited troublemaker who is lonel and longing for a connection, especially with her sister.
YOUNG ELSA, ELSA - Princess, and later, Queen of Arendelle, with magical powers at different ages; initially a doting sister to Anna, but becomes isolated due the dear of her magical powers.
KING AGNARR - King of Arendelle and protective father to Anna and Elsa.
QUEEN IDUNA - Queen of Arendelle and descendant of the Northern Nomads; loving mother to Anna and Elsa.
PADDIE and BULDA - the mystical and magical leaders of the Hidden Folk; Kristoff's adoptive parents.
BISHOP - The Bishop of Arendelle, tasked with overseeing the succession of the monarchy.
KRISTOFF - An ice harvester with a prickly exterior but a big heart.
SVEN - Kristoff's loyal reindeer best friend who can only be understood by Kristoff.
HANS - The charming Prince of teh Southern Isles who craves a sense of belonging and power and proves that first impressions can be wrong.
