Based on the 2018 Broadway musical, FROZEN, JR. brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!

Frozen Jr. is designed for performers 18 and under.

ALL auditioners must be at least 6 years old October 13, 2019 and no older than 18 through December 15, 2019.


General Auditions

• Please prepare a 16-24 bar selection of a musical theatre song in the style of the show.
•  An accompanist will be provided, please provide your own sheet music - NO CDs & NO ACAPPELLA auditions will be seen.
•  Following your vocal audition there will be a movement/dance audition, so please come prepared and dressed to move.



Callbacks are by invitation only and will be held Tuesday, October 15th from 6-9pm at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center.
    • The Callback List will be posted on the Theatre in the Park website by 12pm on Monday, October 14th.



Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, November 3, 2019. Typical weekly rehearsal schedule will be Sunday afternoons 4:30p to 8:30p and Monday through Thursday nights from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.
Preliminary Rehearsal Schedule
Conflicts with the rehearsal schedule must be kept to an absolute minimum during the rehearsal process. No conflicts will be accepted during dress / tech week without prior approval from the director. All rehearsals will be at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park KS 66212.

Performances Dates: 12/6 @ 7:30pm, 12/7 @ 10am & 2pm, 12/8 @ 2pm & 5pm, 12/13 @ 7:30pm, 12/14 @ 10am & 2pm, and 12/15 @ 2pm & 5pm.

YOUNG ANNA, ANNA - Princess of Arendelle at different ages; a spirited troublemaker who is lonel and longing for a connection, especially with her sister.
YOUNG ELSA, ELSA - Princess, and later, Queen of Arendelle, with magical powers at different ages; initially a doting sister to Anna, but becomes isolated due the dear of her magical powers.
KING AGNARR - King of Arendelle and protective father to Anna and Elsa.
QUEEN IDUNA - Queen of Arendelle and descendant of the Northern Nomads; loving mother to Anna and Elsa.
PADDIE and BULDA - the mystical and magical leaders of the Hidden Folk; Kristoff's adoptive parents.
BISHOP - The Bishop of Arendelle, tasked with overseeing the succession of the monarchy.
KRISTOFF - An ice harvester with a prickly exterior but a big heart.
SVEN - Kristoff's loyal reindeer best friend who can only be understood by Kristoff.
HANS - The charming Prince of teh Southern Isles who craves a sense of belonging and power and proves that first impressions can be wrong.
WESELTON - An impolite and judgemental Duke from a neighboring kingdom.
OLAF - A goofy and loving magical snowman who dreams of experiencing summer.
OAKEN - An amiable wandering salesperson and advocate of hygge.
