Theatre in the Park Front of House Team Member: $14.00 - $16.00/hr

Spend your summer with one the nation's largest community theatres as a Front of House Team member!
This flexible team runs the operations at the outdoor amphitheater in the areas of parking, box office, concessions, entry gates, and more. 


Duties include...

  • Greets patrons, answers questions, and promotes friendly atmosphere.

  • Sells tickets for shows and takes payment and makes change.

  • Answers questions concerning schedules, reservations and gives information concerning coming attractions.

  • Keeps daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold.

  • Monitors gate area and takes tickets.

  • Directs cars in parking lot to proper parking spaces.

  • Sells select merchandise before and during shows.

  • Contacts supervisor with problems concerning equipment or patrons.

  • Assists with cleaning of the theater and its front of house facilities.

Theatre in the Park ATD/Shop Forman: $20.00 - $25.00/hr

Join us at Theatre in the Park as our TIP Assistant Technical Director andShop Forman. 
This supervisory seasonal position will work with the Technical Director to ensure the rules, regulations, and protocols
of JCPRD and TIP are followed during the build of shows.


Duties include...

  • Assist the TD with interviewing and hiring of scenic crew staff.

  • Supervise and Train scenic crew in the safe operation of tools and equipment during the construction of theatrical set pieces.

  • Manage the scene shops to ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and report to the TD any malfunctions or safety concerns.

  • Allocate workflow to scenic carpenters based on workload and skill level.

  • Supervise, instruct, and build alongside scenic carpenters to meet production deadlines. 

  • Read / interpret scenic design drawings to lead construction of scenic elements.

  • Consult with the Technical Director, and Scenic Charge to determine if the scenic elements, as designed,
    can be completed with given staff skill levels and timelines. 

  • Oversee turnovers including load-in and strike teams.

  • Work with stage managers and production teams instructing them how to safely use the scenic elements.

  • Read all rehearsal / production reports, and answer / implement any scenic notes.

  • Attend Designer rehearsal and production meetings when there are scenic items on the agenda.

  • Ensure scene shop’s material and hardware inventory remains sufficiently stocked.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Theatre in the Park Scenic Charge: $20.00 - $25.00/hr

Join us as the TIP Scenic Charge for 2024!  This role works closes with the Technical Director training and
supervising scenic painters, as well as the hiring and interviewing of the scenic crew staff.


Duties include...

  • Work with the Technical Director (TD) to ensure the rules, regulations, and protocols of JCPRD and Theatre in the park are followed during the build of shows. This is an important step to ensure everyone’s safety.

  • Allocate workflow to scenic painters based on workload and skill level.

  • Organize and maintain paint shop equipment and promote shop safety.

  • Translate designer’s renderings, notes and color elevations into meaningful samples and full scale.

  • Consult with the Technical Director, and Assistant Technical Director to determine if the scenic elements, as designed, can be completed with given staff levels and timelines. 

  • Occasionally carve foam for specialty scenic items.

  • Facilitate color mixing, layout, and faux treatment as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.
